Notice is now given by a Deed Poll dated 1 July 2001 and enrolled in the Central Office of the Supreme Court on 29 August 2001, that I, SIMON READ, of The Overlook, Gayle, Hawes, North Yorkshire DL8 3RZ, single man and a British citizen, under the British Nationality Act 1981, section 53(2), formally and absolutely renounce and abandon the surname of Matthews and have assumed and adopted and intend on all occasions to use and subscribe the surname of Read instead of the surname of Matthews so as to be at all times called, known and described by the full name of Simon Read exclusively.
