Notices under the Trustee Act 1925
SCOTTISH TELEVISION STAFF TRUST (the ‘TRUST’)
(formerly called the STV Staff Trust) This notice concerns you if you have been a full time permanent employee or contract staff (with a minimum of one year’s service) of the Company formerly called Scottish Television Limited (which has also been called Scottish Television plc), or a spouse, child or other dependant (for maintenance and support) of such an employee or contract staff. The Trust is in the process of being wound up. This means that the Trustees are seeking applications from all beneficiaries of the Trust so that the Trustees can arrange for the assets of the Trust to be distributed among beneficiaries. If you think you have a right to a distribution under the Trust, you should write to Lindsay Wallace, Trustee (c/o SMG plc, 200 Renfield Street, Glasgow, G2 3PR), giving your full name, current address, date of birth, date of employment and the position held in the Company. Where you are a spouse, child or dependant of a former employee or contract staff, the name of the employee or contract staff and your relationship with such person should be stated, as well as that person’s date of employment and the position they held in the Company. The Company (being Scottish Television Limited and also called Scottish Television plc) did not engage any permanent employee or contract staff after 16 June 1997 so if you were first employed by any Company in the Scottish Media group after that date you will not be eligible for a distribution under the Trust. Applications must be received by 28 February 2002, after which date the Trustees will proceed to distribute all remaining assets of the Trust to the eligible beneficiaries. If you do not notify the Trustees by 28 February 2002, you will lose any rights you may have to claim any distribution from the Trust. The Trustees will not be liable for any failure to distribute assets to any person who does not give notice to them. On behalf of the Trustees of the Trust.
