FRENCH COMPANY 1997 PENSION PLAN

This notice concerns you if you are an employee or former employee of Bandex Narrow Textiles Limited, Curtain Styling Limited, French plc, RegaLead Limited, Rufflette Limited, Thomas French Limited, or a relative, a spouse, widow, widower, child or other dependant of any such employee or former employee. Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, that the Trustees of the above Scheme are in the process of completing the wind up of the Scheme and wish to notify persons having a valid claim against or interest in the Scheme. Any such person is hereby required to send particulars in writing of his or her interest or claim, to the Trustees of the French Company 1997 Pension Plan, at French plc, Sharston Road, Wythenshawe, Manchester M22 4TH, and to send such particulars not later than 10 June 2002. After that date, the Trustees intend to distribute the assets of the Scheme according to the records they hold and include any valid claims for which they have had proper written notice. The Trustees will not be liable for any claim which has not been notified to them in writing before 10 June 2002. Claims need not be made by persons already receiving pensions or by persons who have received a statement of their benefits since November 2001, from the French Company 1997 Pension Plan.
