PURSUANT TO SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925

Notice is hereby given that any persons having a claim or interest in the NOVA Chemicals Europe (UK) Retirement Benefits Scheme (formerly known as the Huntsman Chemical Co Ltd Retirement Benefits Scheme) (the “Scheme”) are required to send particulars in writing of such a claim or interest to the Trustees of the Scheme c/o Cathie Bateman of NOVA Chemicals Europe (UK) Limited, Isherwood Road, Carrington, Urmston, Manchester M31 4TJ, on or before 9 January 2003, after which date the Trustees will proceed to distribute the assets of the Scheme among the persons entitled to them having regard only to the claims of which they then have had notice. The Trustees shall not be liable to any person or persons of whose claims or demands they have not had notice in respect of the assets of the Scheme or any part of them so distributed.
