GARLOCK (GREAT BRITAIN) PENSION SCHEME
NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925

The Garlock (Great Britain) Pension Scheme (“the Scheme”) was established in 1987 by Garlock (Great Britain) Limited. The Trustees of the Scheme are in the process of winding-up the Scheme. This involves the Trustees realising the Scheme’s assets and using them to provide the pensions and benefits payable under the Scheme. After this has been done, the Scheme will cease to exist. The Trustees have written to all known Members and other beneficiaries of the Scheme about the winding-up. If you have not received correspondence from the Trustees and you have, or consider that you may have, a right to benefits under, or a claim against, the Scheme, it is extremely important that you notify the Trustees of this. You should do so by sending written details of your claim or interest, by registered post, to Stephen Aries, on behalf of the Trustees, at the address set out below. These written details must arrive on or before 17 January 2003. After the above date, the Trustees will apply the remaining assets of the Scheme to provide benefits for the Scheme’s Members and other beneficiaries. In doing so, the Trustees will have regard only to those claims and interests of which they then have notice, and will not be liable to any other person. This notice concerns only those persons who have not received correspondence about the winding-up of the Scheme from the Trustees. Notification is not required from anyone who has received such correspondence. Trustees of the Garlock (GB) Pension Scheme, c/o Mr Stephen Aries, Watson Wyatt LLP, Watson House, London Road, Reigate, Surrey RH2 9PQ.
