NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Anglian Water Services Limited, of Henderson House, Lancaster Way,
Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE29 6XQ, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary
licence 8/36/15/G/155, to abstract water from two boreholes in the Chalk at TL 903
357 and TL 903 358, in the Parish of Bures St Mary, in the District of Babergh, in
the county of Suffolk.
The variation being applied for is to renew abstraction at the currently licensed
rate of 14,000,000 cubic metres in any 5 year period which will otherwise reduce on
1 November 2004. All other conditions will remain unchanged. The water will be used
for public water supply.
A copy of the application and any maps and other documents submitted with it may
be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the address given above and
at Bures Post Office, Church Square, Bures, Suffolk CO8 5BT, between 3 November 2003
and 5 December 2003.
Any person wanting to make representations about the application should do so in
writing to The Environment Agency, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the
end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
