This public notice supersedes the notice published on 12 November 2003 and the following change has been made in respect of the choice of venue for the Public Inquiry. Notice is hereby given that public local inquiries will be held at Studley Village Hall, High Street, Studley, Warwickshire, starting at 10.00 am, on Tuesday 20 January 2004, into the Secretary of State for Transport’s proposal to make the Orders listed below, and into the objections which he has received in connection with that proposal. The inquiries will be held by Mr J E Coyne, an Inspector appointed jointly by the Secretary of State and the First Secretary of State on the nomination of the Planning Inspectorate for the purpose of the inquiries into the Orders. The Orders in question are: 1. The A435 Trunk Road (Studley Bypass and Slip Roads) Order 1993 (Revocation) Order 20, which was published in draft on 11 June 2003. This is an Order under sections 10 and 41 of the Highways Act 1980 providing that the A435 Trunk Road (Studley Bypass and Slip Roads) Order 1993 be revoked. The Order to be revoked authorises the Secretary of State to construct the A435 Studley Bypass and slip roads along the route described in the Order. 2. The A435 Trunk Road (Alcester to Gorcott Hill) De-trunking Order 1993 (revocation) Order 20, which was published in draft on 11 June 2003. This is an Order under sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980 providing that the A435 Trunk Road (Alcester to Gorcott Hill) De-trunking Order 1993 be revoked. The Order to be revoked authorises the de-trunking of the A435 from Alcester to Gorcott Hill, along the route described in the Order. 3. The A435 Trunk Road (Studley Bypass Side Roads) Order 1993 (Revocation) Order 20, which was published in draft on 11 June 2003. This is an Order under section 12, 14, 125 and 326 of the Highways Act 1980, providing that the A435 Trunk Road (Studley Bypass Side Roads) Order 1993 be revoked. The Order to be revoked authorises the stopping-up, diverting, improving, raising, lowering or otherwise altering those highways that would have crossed the route of the then proposed A435 Studley Bypass. Proceedings on the draft Orders are being taken concurrently in accordance with paragraph 20 in Schedule 1 to the Highways Act 1980. Copies of the draft Orders and the plans referred to in them have been deposited, and may be seen at all reasonable hours, free of charge, at the offices of The Highways Agency, Reception, Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL; Highway Maintenance, PTES Department, Warwickshire County Council, PO Box 43, Shire Hall, Warwick CV34 4SX; Redditch Borough Council, Planning Services Manager, Town Hall, Alcester Street, Redditch B98 8AH; Alcester Public Library, Librarian in Charge, Priory Road, Alcester B49 5DZ; Worcestershire County Council, Transportation Manager, Environmental Services Directorate, County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester WR5 2NP; Stratford on Avon District Council, Head of Democratic Support Services, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford on Avon CV37 6HX, Studley Public Library, Librarian in Charge, High Street, Studley B80 7HJ, Area Sub Office of Stratford on Avon, Globe House, Priory Road, Alcester B49 5DZ and Parish Council Office, Studley Village Hall, High Street, Studley, Warwickshire B80 7HJ. The Inspector will hear representations from statutory objectors, as defined in the Highways (Inquiries Procedures) Rules 1994. He will also, at his discretion, hear representations from any other persons who may desire to appear and be heard. Objectors are reminded that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it; that it will be passed to the Inspector holding the inquiries; and that he may be required to disclose at the inquiries the objection or representation and, unless there are special reasons to the contrary, the identity of the author.
