NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 107(6) OF THE COMMUNICATIONS ACT 2003
PROPOSAL TO GIVE A DIRECTION APPLYING THE ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS CODE TO UK BROADBAND

1. The Director-General of Telecommunications (the “Director”), in accordance with section 107(6) of the Communications Act 2003 (the “Act”), hereby makes the following proposal to give a direction under section 106(3) of the Act applying the Electronic Communications Code (the “Code”) to UK Broadband. The Director is able to exercise powers under the Act pursuant to section 408 of the Act and Article 3(1) of the Communications Act 2003 (Commencement No 1) Order 2003.
2. The draft Direction and the accompanying explanatory statement setting out the Director’s reasons for the proposal are available at: www.ofcom.org.uk/legacyregulators/oftel/.
