ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984—SECTION 46A

INCREASE OF “BASIC TARIFF” PAY AND DISPLAY PARKING CHARGES

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intend to, from 3 April 2004, increase the charges for “Basic Tariff” Pay and Display parking, under section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and in accordance with section 25 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996. 2. The existing charges, as set out in the Kensington and Chelsea (Parking Places) (Pay and Display) (Basic Tariff) Order 1999, and amended by Public notice in March 2003, are:

Parking Period	Current Charge
15 minutes	10 pence
30 minutes	20 pence
45 minutes	30 pence
1 hour	40 pence

and in increments of 10 pence per 15 minutes thereafter. 3. The charges from 3 April 2004, will be:

Parking Period	Charge from 3 April 2004
12 minutes	10 pence
24 minutes	20 pence
36 minutes	30 pence
48 minutes	40 pence
1 hour	50 pence
