THE A5195 TRUNK ROAD (BIRMINGHAM NORTHERN RELIEF ROAD LINK ROAD) (DETRUNKING) ORDER 2004

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has made the following Order: An Order under sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980, entitled The A5195 Trunk Road (Birmingham Northern Relief Road Link Road) (Detrunking) Order 2004, which provides that lengths of the A5195 Trunk Road. (a) between its junction with the A5 at Brownhills and the boundary of Walsall and the county of Staffordshire at New Town; (b) between the boundary of Walsall and the county of Staffordshire at Newtown and the southern boundary of its roundabout junction with the M6 Toll, including the circulatory carriageway of that roundabout; shall cease to be a trunk road, and shall be classified as a principal road, from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the Staffordshire County Council and Walsall MBC who will become the highway authorities responsible for the lengths described in (a) and (b) respectively from the date on which the Order comes into force. Copies of the Order and the plans referred to in it have been deposited at the Highways Agency, Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL; Staffordshire County Council, Development Services Department, Riverway, Stafford SG15 3TG; South Staffordshire District Council, Council Offices, Codsall, Staffordshire WV8 1PX; Warwickshire County Council, PO Box 43, Warwick CV34 1AB; North Warwickshire Borough Council, Council House, South Street, Atherstone CV19 1AB; Walsall MBC, Civic Centre, Darwall Street, Walsall, West Midlands WS1 1TP; Birmingham City Council, Council House, Victoria Square, Birmingham B1 1BB; Lichfield District Council, District Council House, Frog Lane, Lichfield WS13 6YU where they are open to inspection, free of charge, at all reasonable hours. Copies of the Order can be purchased through booksellers or direct from government bookshops (The Stationery Office). The A5195 Trunk Road (Birmingham Northern Relief Road Link Road) (Detrunking) Order 2004 is numbered SI 2004 No 2666 and is priced £3.00. Any person aggrieved by the Order mentioned in this notice who desires to question its validity, or the validity of any provision in it, on the ground that: (a) it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, or (b) any requirement of that Act or of regulations made under that Act has not been complied with in relation to that Order, may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice. On such an application, the Court may suspend or quash that Order or any provision in it. S Amor, Highways Agency
