NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP AN AREA OF HIGHWAY OFF GARTHWAITE CRESCENT, SHENLEY BROOK END, MILTON KEYNES

Take notice that the Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes intends to apply to the Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court sitting at Milton Keynes, on Friday 10 December 2004, at 10.30 am, for an Order under section 116 Highways Act 1980 for the stopping-up of an area of highway described in the Schedule below and shown on the Plan by cross-hatching on the grounds that the said area is not necessary for the purpose of highway. The Plan may be inspected, free of charge, at the Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, between 9.00 am and 4.45 pm, Mondays to Fridays. At the hearing of the application for the Order, any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order applied for will have the right to be heard. Schedule The area of adopted highway to the south side of Garthwaite Crescent, Shenley Brook End (opposite Nos 26 to 32 Garthwaite Crescent) approximately 60 metres east of Alpine Croft in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 70 metres and for a depth of approximately 17 metres from the footway shown cross-hatched on the plan. 5 October 2004.
