SECTION 58
NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS
- 1 Three months advance notice is hereby given that Kirklees Council - Highways Service intends to carry out substantial road works involving Resurfacing
- 2 The streets in which these works will take place are
- i Back O Dam (USRN 19400491) and (ii) Britannia Road (USRN 19400512) Slaithwaite, Huddersfield
- 3 Work is expected to affect the carriageway between
- i Jcn A62 Manchester Road to Jcn Britannia Road and (ii) Jcn Back O Dam to o/s No. 1 Britannia Road .
- 4 Work is expected to commence on 28/09/2009 and be completed by 19/10/2009 (Work should begin within six months of this date).
- 5 The works notified will include the following:-
Plane and Resurface Carriageway
- 6 Subject to exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 3 years from completion of works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
- 7 Statutory undertakers are asked to note that, for the purposes of section 55 of the Act they must give notice of any works in their schedule of works, or works of which they may be aware, which would involve breaking up the part of the highway to which this reinstatement will apply within 20 days of the publication of this notice.
