TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

THE SECRETARY OF STATE hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under Legislation section: Section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of a length of unnamed Footpath comprising the Nimrod Drive overbridge, the whole of Livingstone Court, the whole of Darwin Way, a length of Lindbergh Close, the whole of Balfour Close, the whole of Birmingham Court and Liverpool Court and a northern length of Anson Close at Rowner, in the Borough of Gosport.

IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the outline planning permission granted to Rowner Renewal Partnership by Gosport Borough Council on 24 July 2009 under reference K.17671.

COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND RELEVANT PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED at all reasonable hours during 28 days commencing on 15 November 2010 at Bridgemary Post Office, 186 Nobes Avenue, Gosport, Hampshire PO13 0HY and may be obtained free of charge from the Secretary of State at the offices of the Department for Transport (quoting reference NATTRAN/SE/S247/134) at the address stated below.

ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed order within the period of 28 days commencing on 15 November 2010 by notice to the Secretary of State, quoting the above reference, addressed to the National Transport Casework Team, Government Office for the North East, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH . In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.

The SCHEDULE

Outline planning permission is granted for the demolition of existing buildings and removal of existing earth bunds and redevelopment to provide new residential accommodation of up to 700 units and a new neighbourhood centre incorporating a foodstore (Use Class A1 ), café (Use Class A3 ), and up to 3 retail units (Use Class A1, A2, A3 and A5), and provision of open space and landscaping, and access junctions and associated roads including the re-alignment of Howe Road and new north-south road and car-parking, with all matters reserved apart from access (as amended by plan received 15.06.09 and written scheme of archaeological investigation and reptile mitigation strategy received 11.06.09) at land at Grange Road, Howe Road and Nimrod Drive Rowner Gosport Hampshire.
