THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT hereby gives notice that he proposes to make the following Order:

An Order under sections 10 and 41 of the Highways Act 1980 which provides that the A6055 eastern and western roundabouts, and the length of A6055 connecting those roundabouts at Junction 51 of the A1(M) Motorway (Leeming Interchange) shall become trunk road on the date when the Order comes into force. The responsibility for the maintenance of these lengths of road will therefore pass to the Highways Agency.

COPIES of the draft Order and the Plan referred to in it may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours from Wednesday 16 April 2014 until Thursday 29 May 2014 at the offices of the Highways Agency, Network Delivery and Development, 3 South, Lateral, 8 City Walk, Leeds LS11 9AT, and at North Yorkshire County Council, County Hall, Northallerton, DL7 8AD.

ANY PERSON may object to the making of this Order not later than Friday 30 May 2014, or within 6 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice if that period expires later, by writing to the Secretary of State at the above offices of the Highways Agency, quoting the title of this Notice and stating the grounds of objection. In the preparation of an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.
