NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport has made an Order on the M60, M62, M61 and M602 Motorways in the Districts of Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Bury, Rochdale and Bolton in Greater Manchester to allow works associated with the Manchester Smart Motorway Scheme to be carried out in safety.

(a)The Order will impose a 50 miles per hour speed restriction on the following sections of motorway:

• i the M60 clockwise and M62 eastbound carriageways from the centrepoint of the M60 Bridgewater Canal Bridge to the centrepoint of Broad Lane B6194 overbridge (between M62 Junctions 20 and 21);
• ii the M62 westbound and M60 anticlockwise carriageways from the centrepoint of Broad Lane B6194 overbridge (between M62 Junctions 20 and 21) to the centrepoint of the M60 Bridgewater Canal Bridge;
• iii the M60 Junction 7 clockwise entry and anticlockwise exit slip roads
• iv the M60 clockwise and anticlockwise exit and entry slip roads at Junctions 9, 10, 13 and 17;
• v the M60 Junction 11 clockwise exit and entry slip roads;
• vi the M60 Junction 11 anticlockwise exit slip road from the distributor road and the Junction 11 anticlockwise entry slip road;
• vii the M60 Junction 12 anticlockwise and clockwise link roads to the M62 westbound;
• viii the M60 Junction 12 anticlockwise and clockwise link roads to the M602 eastbound;
• ix the M62 and M602 eastbound carriageways from the centrepoint of the M62 Barton Moss Railway Bridge to the centrepoint of the M602 Bridgewater Canal Bridge;
• x the M602 and M62 westbound carriageways from the centrepoint of the M602 Bridgewater Canal Bridge to the centrepoint of the M62 Barton Moss Railway Bridge;

• xiii the entry slip from the M602 westbound onto the M60 anticlockwise distributor road between Junctions 12 and 11;
• xiv the M60 anti-clockwise distributor road from the Junction 12 entry slip road to the Junction 11 exit slip road;
• xv the entry slip road from the Junction 12 distributor road onto the M60 anticlockwise;
• xvi the M60 Junction 14 clockwise entry slip road from the A580 from the centrepoint of Manchester Road underbridge to the point where it joins the clockwise carriageway;
• xvii the M60 Junction 14 anticlockwise exit slip road from the start of the slip road to the centrepoint of the A6 Manchester Road Bridge;
• xviii the M60 Junction 15 clockwise link road to the M61 northbound from the point where it diverges from the main carriageway to the centrepoint of Ryders Farm overbridge;
• xix the M60 Junction 15 anticlockwise link road to the M61 northbound from the point where it diverges from the main carriageway to the centrepoint of Ryders Farm overbridge;
• xx the M61 southbound entry slip road from the centrepoint of Manchester Road underbridge to the point where it merges with the M60 clockwise carriageway;
• xxi the M60 Junction 16 clockwise entry and anticlockwise exit slip roads;
• xxii the M60 Junction 18 clockwise exit slip road (including the dedicated lane onto the M66 northbound);
• xxiii the M66 northbound entry slip road from the M60/M62 Junction 18 roundabout;
• xxiv the M62 Junction 18 eastbound entry slip road;
• xxv the M62 Junction 18 westbound exit slip road;
• xxvi the M60 Junction 18 clockwise entry slip road;
• xxvii the M60 Junction 18 anticlockwise exit slip road (including the dedicated lane onto the M60 anticlockwise);

• xxix the M60/M62 Junction 18 circulatory carriageway;
• xxx the M66 southbound and M60 clockwise carriageways from the centrepoint of the M66 Hills Lane overbridge to the centrepoint of the M60 Old Hall Lane overbridge;
• xxxi the M66 southbound exit slip road to the M60/M62 Junction 18 roundabout;
• xxxii the M60 clockwise and M66 northbound carriageways from the centrepoint of the M60 Old Hall Lane overbridge to the centrepoint of the M66 clockwise Hills Lane overbridge;
• xxxiii the M62 eastbound and westbound exit and entry slip roads leading to and from Birch Services; and
• xxxiv the M62 eastbound and westbound exit and entry slip roads at Junctions 19 and 20.

(b) The Order will ban all traffic from the following sections of motorway:

• i the M60 clockwise carriageway from the last point where the Junction 7 exit slip road leaves the carriageway to the first point where the Junction 7 entry slip road joins the carriageway;
• ii the M60 clockwise carriageway from the last point where the Junction 8 exit slip road leaves the carriageway to the first point where the Junction 8 entry slip road joins the carriageway;
• iii the M60 clockwise carriageway from the last point where the Junction 9 exit slip road leaves the carriageway to the first point where the Junction 9 entry slip road joins the carriageway;
• iv the M60 clockwise carriageway from the last point where the Junction 10 exit slip road leaves the carriageway to the first point where the Junction 10 entry slip road joins the carriageway;
• v the M60 clockwise carriageway from the last point where the Junction 11 exit slip road leaves the carriageway to the first point where the Junction 11 entry slip road joins the carriageway;
• vi the M60 clockwise carriageway from the last point where the Junction 12 exit slip roads leaves the carriageway to the first point where the Junction 12 entry slip road joins the carriageway;
• vii the M60 clockwise carriageway from the last point where the Junction 13 exit slip road leaves the carriageway to the first point where the Junction 13 entry slip road joins the carriageway;

(c) The Order will allow the hardshoulder adjacent to the following sections of motorway to be used as running lanes:

• i the M60 clockwise and M62 eastbound carriageways from the centrepoint of the M60 Bridgewater Canal Bridge to the centrepoint of Broad Lane B6194 overbridge (between M62 Junctions 20 and 21);
• ii the M62 westbound and M60 anticlockwise carriageways from the centrepoint of Broad Lane B6194 overbridge (between M62 Junctions 20 and 21) to the centrepoint of the M60 Bridgewater Canal Bridge;
• iii the M60 Junction 7 clockwise entry slip road;
• iv the M60 Junction 8 clockwise entry slip road;
• v the M60 clockwise and anticlockwise exit and entry slip roads at Junctions 9, 10, 11, 13, 17 and 18;
• vi the M60 Junction 12 clockwise exit slip road;
• vii the M60 Junction 12 clockwise entry slip road from the M62 eastbound ;
• viii the M60 Junction 12 clockwise entry slip road from the M602 westbound;
• ix the M60 Junction 14 clockwise entry slip road from the A580;
• x the M60 Junction 15 clockwise exit slip road;
• xi the M60 Junction 15 clockwise entry slip road from the M61 southbound;
• xii the M60 Junction 16 clockwise entry slip road;

A 50 miles per hour speed limit will be in force on the hardshoulder when being used as a running lane.

(d) The Order will impose width restrictions of 3.25 metres (10 feet 6 inches), 3 metres (9 feet 8 inches) or 2.75 metres (9 feet 0 inches) in lanes, as indicated by traffic signs, on the following:

• i the M60 clockwise and M62 eastbound carriageways from the centrepoint of Chester Road Bridge to the centrepoint of the A671 Oldham Road underbridge; and
• ii the M62 westbound and M60 anticlockwise carriageways from the centrepoint of the A671 Oldham Road underbridge to the centrepoint of Chester Road Bridge.

Restrictions (a) (i) –(xxxiv), (c)(i)-(xxii) and (d)(i)-(ii) are expected to be in place during a period starting at 0001 hours on Monday 23 June 2014 and ending at 2359 hours on Wednesday 31 January 2018.

Prohibitions (b)(i)-(lxvii) are expected to be in place overnight between 2100 hours and 0600 hours during a period starting on Monday 23 June 2014 and ending at 2359 hours on Wednesday 31 January 2018.

Diversion Routes

During the closure of the M60 Junction 7 clockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted along the distributor road to the Junction 8 entry slip road.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 7 clockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via the distributor road to the Junction 8 entry slip road.

During the closure of the M60 Junction clockwise 8 entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 7.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 9 clockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 10.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 9 clockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 8.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 10 clockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 11.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 10 clockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 9.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 11 clockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 13.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 11 clockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 10.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 13 clockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 15, onto the M61 north to the first available roundabout turn round and back on the M60 anticlockwise to Junction 13.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 13 clockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 11.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 15 clockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 17 back to Junction 15 and onto the M61 slip road.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 14 clockwise entry slip road from the A580(S) traffic will be diverted via the A580 onto the A572 and back to Junction 13.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 15 clockwise entry slip road from the M61(S) traffic will be diverted via the M60 anticlockwise to Junction 13.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 16 clockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via A666, A6044 and A56 to M60 Junction 17.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 17 clockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 18.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 17 clockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 16.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 18 clockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via M62 Junction 19.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 18 clockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 17.

During the closure of Birch Services traffic will be diverted to Junction 19 and onto clockwise services then back onto the anticlockwise as necessary.

During the closure of the M62 Junction 19 eastbound exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 20.

During the closure of the M62 Junction 19 eastbound entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 21.

During the closure of the M62 Junction 20 eastbound entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 19.

During the closure of the M62 Junction 21 westbound entry slip road traffic will be diverted via A6193, A664 and A627(M) to Junction 20.

During the closure of the M62 Junction 20 westbound exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 19.

During the closure of the M62 Junction 20 westbound entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 21.

During the closure of the M62 Junction 19 westbound exit slip road traffic will be diverted via the M60 Junction 18 back to M60 Junction 19.

During the closure of the M62 Junction 18 westbound exit slip road traffic will be diverted via the M60 Junction 17 back to M60 Junction 18.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 18 anticlockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via the M62(N) to Junction 19 and back onto M62(S).

During the closure of the M60 Junction 17 anticlockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 16 onto the M60(N) and back to Junction 17.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 17 anticlockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via the M60(N) to Junction 18 and back to Junction 17.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 16 anticlockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 15 onto the M61(N) to the roundabout with the A666 and then on the A666 back to Junction 16.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 15 anticlockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 13 back onto the M60(N) to Junction 15 and then on the M61.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 14 anticlockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 13 onto the A575 to rejoin the A580.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 13 anticlockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 11 and then back onto the M60(N) to Junction 13.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 13 anticlockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 15 onto the M61(N) to the roundabout with the A666, take the 3 ^rd exit back onto the A666 and continue to merge with the M60.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 12 anticlockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 11.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 12 anticlockwise entry slip road from the A580 traffic will be diverted via Junction 13.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 11 anticlockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 10.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 11 anticlockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 13.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 10 anticlockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 9.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 10 anticlockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 11.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 9 anticlockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 8.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 9 anticlockwise entry slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 10.

During the closure of the M60 Junction 8 anticlockwise exit slip road traffic will be diverted via Junction 7.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise at Junction 7 traffic will be diverted along the distributor road to the Junction 7 entry slip road to rejoin the clockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise at Junction 8 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 8 exit slip taking the second exit onto the Junction 8 entry slip back onto the clockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise at Junction 9 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 9 exit slip road taking the second exit onto the Junction 9 entry slip road back onto the clockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise at Junction 10 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 10 exit slip road taking the second exit onto the Junction 10 entry slip road back onto the clockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise at Junction 11 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 11 exit slip road taking the third exit onto the Junction 11 entry slip road back onto the clockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise at Junction 12 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 12 exit slip road onto the M60 eastbound, leave at M62 Junction 11 exit, take the 4 ^th exit on the Junction 11 roundabout and head back along the M62 westbound to M60 Junction 12. Traffic will then leave at Junction 12 exit slip road staying in the nearside lane and re-enter the M60 clockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise at Junction 13 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 13 exit slip road taking the fourth exit onto the Junction 13 entry slip back onto the clockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise at Junction 15 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 15 exit slip road onto the M61, stay in the right hand lane to remain on the M61 at Junction 2 (signed for Bolton A666), leave at the junction with the A6053/A666 Kearsley Junction and take the fourth exit on the roundabout heading back onto the M61. At M61 Junction 2 traffic will remain on the M61 heading for the M60 Ring Road, stay in nearside lanes following for M60 (N & E) and re-enter the M60 clockwise carriageway at Junction 15.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise at Junction 17 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 17 exit slip road taking the second exit onto the Junction 17 entry slip road back onto the M60 clockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise at Junction 18 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 18 exit slip road to the Junction 18 roundabout staying in the offside lane. At the roundabout traffic will take the second exit onto the M62 (for Leeds and Rochdale) and join the eastbound carriageway.

During the closure of the M62 eastbound at Junction 19 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 19 exit slip road taking the second exit onto the Junction 19 entry slip road back onto the eastbound carriageway.

During the closure of the M62 westbound at Junction 20 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 20 exit slip road taking the second exit onto the Junction 20 entry slip road back onto the westbound carriageway.

During the closure of the M62 eastbound at Junction 19 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 19 exit slip road taking the second exit onto the Junction 19 entry slip road back onto the westbound carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise at Junction 18 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 18 exit slip road to the roundabout staying in the offside lane. At the roundabout traffic will take the second exit onto the M62 (Ring Road W) re-entering the anticlockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise at Junction 17 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 17 exit slip road taking the second exit onto the Junction 17 entry slip road back onto the anticlockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise at Junction 15 traffic will be directed to travel along the Junction 15 exit slip road onto the M61, stay in the right hand lane to remain on the M61 at Junction 2 (signed for Bolton A666), leave at the junction with the A6053/A666 Kearsley Junction and then take the fourth exit on the roundabout heading back onto the M61. At M61 Junction 2 traffic will remain on the M61 heading for the M60 Ring Road, stay in the offside lane following for M60 Ring Road (W & S) and re-enter the M60 anticlockwise at Junction 15.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise at Junction 13 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 13 exit slip road taking the third exit onto the Junction 13 entry slip road back onto the anticlockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise at Junction 12 will be diverted from Junction 12 to the M602 eastbound at Junction 2, take the 4 ^th exit off the roundabout back onto the M602 and off at Junction 1 onto the Junction 11 feeder road rejoining at Junction 11.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise at Junction 11:

M60 traffic - will be diverted from Junction 12 to M602 east at Junction 2, take the fourth exit off the roundabout back on to the M602 and off at Junction 1 onto the Junction 11 feeder road and then off at Junction 11, before rejoining the carriageway at Junction 11.

M602 traffic – will continue along the M602, past the closed exit slip road for the M60 clockwise/anticlockwise to Junction 2, where the diversion is the same as described above with a secondary diversion at Junction 1, where traffic can split for the clockwise or anticlockwise carriageways.

During the closure of the M6 anticlockwise at Junction 10 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 11 feeder road to the Junction 10 exit slip road and then taking the second exit onto the Junction 10 entry slip road back onto the anticlockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise at Junction 9 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 11 feeder road and on to the Junction 9 exit slip road with traffic then taking the third exit onto the Junction 9 entry slip road back onto the anticlockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise at Junction 8 traffic will be diverted along the Junction 8 exit slip road taking the first exit onto the Junction 8 entry slip road back onto the anticlockwise carriageway.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise between Junctions 7 and 9, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 7, turn right onto A56 Chester Road, turn left onto A5181 Barton Road, turn left onto B5211 Barton Park Road, turn left onto A5081 and then follow to M60 Junction 9 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise between Junctions 9 and 10, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 9, take the 1 ^st exit on the roundabout onto A5158 Lostock Road, at the roundabout with B5214 take the 3 ^rd exit onto B5214 Barton Road and follow B5214 to M60 Junction 10 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise between Junctions 10 and 11, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 10, take the 3 ^rd exit on the roundabout ontoB5214 Trafford Boulevard, at the roundabout with B5211 take the first exit onto Redclyffe Road, continue on B5211 Barton Road through to A57 crossroads, turn left onto A57 and follow A57 Liverpool Road until Junction 11 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise between Junctions 11 and 12, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 11, take the 4 ^th exit on the roundabout onto A57 Liverpool Road, turn left at the junction with A576 Gilda Brook Road and follow A576 to M602 Junction 2. At the M60 interchange take first exit on the roundabout onto the M602 east, stay in the nearside dedicated lane for the M60 Junction 12 slips where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise between Junctions 12 and 13, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 12, remain in the offside lane and follow for M602, leave M602 at Junction 2 and take the first exit on the roundabout, follow A576 Gilda Brook Road onto A576 Eccles Old Road, turn left onto A5185 Lancaster Road to A580, turn left onto A580 to crossroads with A572, turn left onto A572 and follow to M60 Junction 13 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise between Junctions 13 and 14, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 13, at the roundabout take second exit onto A575 Walkden Road, turn right at the cross roads with A580 and follow the A580 East Lancashire Road to M60 Junction 14 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise between Junctions 15 and 16, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 15, follow the M61, stay in right hand lane to remain on the M61 at Junction 2 (signed for Bolton A666), leave at the junction with A6053/A666 Kearsley junction, take 3 ^rd exit on the roundabout onto A666 and follow A666 Manchester Road through to M60 Junction 16 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 clockwise between Junctions 17 and 18, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 17, at the roundabout take the first exit onto A56, follow the A56 Bury New Road to the junction with A6044 Scholes Lane and exit left, follow A6044 to the junction with A576 Middleton Road and turn left towards the M60 Junction 19 and then take 1 ^st exit from the roundabout onto the M60 anticlockwise to Junction 18 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M62 eastbound between Junctions 18 and 19, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 18, stay in the offside lane(s) on the exit slip road and at the roundabout take the 3 ^rd exit for the M60 (Ring Road E & W), leave the M60 at the Junction 19 exit slip road and take the 1 ^st exit on the roundabout onto A576 Middleton Road, follow A576 Manchester Old Road through to roundabout with A664 Assheton Way then Long Street to the junction with A6046, turn left onto A6046 Hollin Lane and follow to M62 Junction 19 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M62 eastbound between Junctions 19 and 20, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 19, at the roundabout take the 3 ^rd exit onto A6046 Hollin Lane, follow A6046 Hollin Lane to the junction with A664 Rochdale Road, turn left onto A664 Rochdale Road and follow to A627(M) interchange then on A627(M) to M60 Junction 20 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M62 westbound between Junctions 20 and 19, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 20, at the roundabout take the 1 ^st exit onto A627(M) (signed for Oldham), leave A627(M) at Junction 2 exit and at the roundabout take the 2 ^nd exit onto A627(M) (signed for Castleton/Middleton), At the roundabout with A664 traffic will take the 2 ^nd exit onto A664 Rochdale Road, turn right at the junction with A6046 onto Hollin Land and follow to Junction 19 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M62 westbound between Junctions 19 and 18, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 19, take the 1 ^st exit on the roundabout onto A6046 Hollin Lane, turn right at the junction with A664 Long Street, A664 to roundabout with A576 Middleton Way and then follow A576 Middleton Way onto A576 Manchester Old Road through to M60 Junction 19. At Junction 19 roundabout traffic will take the 3 ^rd exit onto M60 (signed Ring Road W) and follow M60 to Junction 18 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise between Junctions 18 and 17, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 18, take the 1 ^st exit on the roundabout onto the M60 (signed Ring Road E & S), follow the M60 and leave at Junction 19, exit and take the third exit on the roundabout onto A576 Middleton Road, turn right at the junction with A6044 Sheepfoot Lane and follow until the junction of A6044/A56 Bury New Road. Traffic will then continue on A57 until the M60 Junction 17 roundabout and take the 1 ^st exit onto the entry slip road where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise between Junctions 17 and 16, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 17, at the roundabout take the 3 ^rd exit onto Bury New Road, continue to the junction of A665 Radcliffe New Road and turn left, travel on A665 until the roundabout with A6053 Stopes Road and then continue to junction with A575/A6053 Market Street. Traffic will turn left, continue on A6053 to roundabout of A666 and take the 3 ^rd exit off the roundabout onto A666 southbound, then stay on A666 to the merge with the M60 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise between Junctions 16 and 15, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 16, at the junction turn right onto A666 Manchester Road and continue to the roundabout at Junction 2 of A666, take the 1 ^st exit off and continue along A666, follow signs for the M61/M60 and rejoin the M60 at Junction 15 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise between Junctions 14 and 13, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 14 and merge with A580 East Lancs Road, continue on A580 until the junction with A575 Walkden Road, turn right, continue on A575 until the roundabout, take the 1 ^st exit underneath the M60 and then the 3 ^rd exit at the next roundabout onto the M60 entry slip road and rejoin at Junction 13 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise between Junctions 13 and 12, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 13, at the end of the exit slip road take the 1 ^st exit off the roundabout onto A572 Worsley Road, continue on Worsley Road taking the 2 ^nd exit to continue straight on at the first roundabout and the 1 ^st exit at the second roundabout to continue straight on. At the junction with the A580 East Lancashire Road traffic will turn right onto A580, continue on A580 to junction with A5053 Albion Way, continue on Albion Way until roundabout of M602/A57 and take the 4 ^th exit onto A576 Gilda Brook Road and continue to the roundabout at Junction 2 of M602, leave the M602 at Junction 1, keeping in the nearside lane to rejoin the M60 at Junction 12 where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise between Junctions 12 and 11, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 12 and stay in the nearside lane to merge with the M602, continue on M602 to Junction 2, exit and at the roundabout take the 3 ^rd exit onto A576, continue straight on through the roundabout/junction and move to the offside, at the next set of traffic lights turn right onto A57, at the first roundabout take the 1 ^st exit to continue on A57 and at the next roundabout take the 2 ^nd exit to continue on A57 Corporation Road. At the crossroads traffic will keep left to turn onto A57 Church Street, continue on A57 to the roundabout at M60 Junction 11 and then take the 1 ^st exit onto the entry slip road where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise between Junctions 11 and 10, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 12, onto the M602 eastbound and exit at Junction 2, where traffic will take the 3 ^rd exit back onto the M602 and then to Junction 11 where they will be divided. Clockwise traffic will be diverted back onto the clockwise carriageway where their diversion will end and anticlockwise traffic will join the feeder road at Junction 11 and be taken off at Junction 11 exit, take the 1 ^st exit at the roundabout onto A57 Liverpool Road, continue to cross roads with B5211 and turn right onto B5211 Barton Road, at the roundabout take the 3 ^rd exit onto B5214 Trafford Boulevard, take the 2 ^nd exit to continue straight on at the next roundabout, and at the next roundabout take the 1 ^st exit onto M60 Junction 10 entry slip where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise between Junctions 10 and 9, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 10 and at the roundabout take the 3 ^rd exit to B5214 Barton Road, take the 2 ^nd exit at the next roundabout to continue on B5214, at the next roundabout take the 1 ^st exit onto B5158 Lostock Lane and then continue on Lostock Lane to M60 Junction 9 entry slip road where the diversion ends.

During the closure of the M60 anticlockwise between Junction 9 and 7, traffic will be directed to leave at Junction 9 and take the 1 ^st exit at the roundabout onto A5081 Park Way, at the junction with B5211 keep left to exit onto the slip road and turn right at the junction onto B5211 Barton Dock Road, at the junction with A5181 turn right onto Park Road, continue on A5181 Park Road until the A56 roundabout, take the2nd exit from the A56 roundabout onto A56 Chester Road and then exit left onto M60 Junction 7 entry slip road where the diversion ends.

The restrictions will not apply to emergency services or special forces vehicles, and the prohibitions will not apply to emergency services, works, vehicles being used for winter maintenance purposes or traffic officer vehicles. The prohibitions and restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will be indicated by traffic signs,

The Order comes into force on 22 June 2014 and is valid until 31 January 2018. The Secretary of State is satisfied that the execution of the works will take longer than a period of 18 months.
