Homeowners Friendly Society Limited and Family Assurance Friendly Society Limited

THE FRIENDLY SOCIETIES ACT 1992 (THE “ACT”)

Notice is hereby given that Homeowners Friendly Society Limited, Register No. 964 F, whose registered office is at Hornbeam Park Avenue, Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG2 8XE, desires to transfer all of its engagements to Family Assurance Friendly Society Limited, Register No. 939 F, which is intended to take effect on 1 April 2015 and that each society has applied to the Prudential Regulation Authority (“PRA”) to confirm the transfer.

Notice is hereby given that Family Assurance Friendly Society Limited, Register No. 939 F, whose registered office is at 16-17 West Street, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 2RL, desires to accept a transfer all of the engagements of Homeowners Friendly Society Limited, Register No. 964 F, which is intended to take effect on 1 April 2015 and that each society has applied to the PRA to confirm the transfer.

An independent actuary’s report on the terms of the proposed transfer has been obtained and is available for inspection at:

• the offices of Family Assurance Friendly Society Limited, 16-17 West Street, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 2RL until 11 February 2015 or by requesting a copy of the report by email from members@family.co.uk

• the offices of Homeowners Friendly Society Limited, Hornbeam Park Avenue, Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG2 8XE until 11 February 2015 or by requesting a copy of the report by email from Andrew.Horsley@engagemutual.com

• the report will also be available on the websites www.engagemutual.com and www.family.co.uk

Any interested party has the right to make written representations and/or give notice of intention to make oral representations to the PRA with respect to the application. The PRA has determined that any written representations or notice of a person’s intention to make oral representations must be received by the PRA before 21 January 2015. If notice is given of oral representations, these will be heard by the PRA on 11 February 2015.

FamilyEngageTransfer@bankofengland.co.uk (in both cases for the attention of Mr C Cairns) by 21 January 2015. It would be helpful if the nature of any proposed oral representations were stated when giving notice.
