NOTICE BY THE BANK OF ENGLAND CALLING IN BANKNOTES OF THE OLD-STYLE PAPER (CHARLES DARWIN) £10 DENOMINATION

The Bank of England, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 1(5) of the Currency and Bank Notes Act 1954, hereby calls in on 1 March 2018, for payment of the face value thereof, all the notes of the Bank of England of the denomination of £10 which formed part of the series first in issue at the Bank on 7 November 2000.

and which bore an image of Charles Darwin on the reverse. By virtue of the said Section 1(5) the notes hereby called in will cease to be legal tender after 1 March 2018.
