WATER – CHALLENGES AND CHOICES

Notice of publication of the ‘Challenges and Choices’ consultation document, a Summary of the Significant Water Management Matters under regulation 29(1)(b), (2)(b), (3)(a) and (b) of the Water Environment (Water Framework Directive) (England and Wales) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency published the Challenges and Choices consultation for England on 24 October 2019 for 8 river basin districts: Anglian, Humber, North West, Northumbria, Severn, South East, South West and Thames. The Challenges and Choices consultation is the second in a series of three publications for public consultation, allowing anyone with an interest in the water environment and the significant water management matters that arise in the river basin district the opportunity to comment. The consultation can be found online at https://consult.environment-agency.gov.uk/environment-and-business/challenges-and-choices.

The Challenges and Choices consultation runs until 24 April 2020 and any person may make representations to us regarding significant water management matters by completing the online response form on the website above.
