Ministry of Defence

FORMER OWNER (CRICHEL DOWN) CONSIDERATION

1. LAND AT DEFENCE INFRASTRUCTURE HEADQUARTERS, KINGSTON ROAD, SUTTON COLDFIELD B75 7NY (PART OF LAND AT WHITEHOUSE FARM)

2. LAND AT RAF WADDINGTON, WADDINGTON, LINCOLN LN5 9NB

3. FORMER GYMNASIUM BUILDING, OFFICERS MESS AND TENNIS COURTS AT THE FORMER RAF KIRTON IN LINDSEY, KIRTON IN LINDSEY, LINCOLNSHIRE

Land at the above locations has been declared surplus to Ministry of Defence (MOD) requirements and is a potential disposal. The Crichel Down Rules require Government Departments, under certain circumstances, to offer back surplus land to the former owner or their successors in title at current market value.

However, in this instance the land is not to be offered back because exemptions apply.

MOD therefore wishes to trace anyone who may fall within the definition of former owner or successor in title contained in the Crichel Down Rules to notify them of the decision.

Former Owners:

1. Fredrick William Glover of Highclere and Florence Mary Richards and Robert Herbert of Whitehouse Farm Rectory Road, Sutton Coldfield.

2. Agnes Traill Dean of Mere Hall, Mere, Lincoln

3. John William Golland and Charles Golland of Park Farm, Kirton in Lindsey, Lincolnshire and William Fredrick Golland of Withersea, East Riding of Yorkshire

The former owner or their successor(s) in title (other than through purchase) are invited to contact MOD by writing within two months of the date of this notice at the following address:

Andrew Pullen-Jones, Defence Infrastructure Organisation, V19 Trafalgar House, South Gate, MOD Donnington, Telford TF2 8JX

Successors in title should state and provide evidence of their relationship to the former owner.
