The Arconic Britain Pension Scheme (the “Scheme”), formerly known as the Alcoa Britain Pension Scheme, was established on 21 December 1970.

The Trustee of the Scheme hereby gives notice, pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, that the Scheme is being wound up. The Trustee has corresponded by post with all known members of the Scheme, and all known members’ and beneficiaries’ benefits have been secured or transferred to alternative pension arrangements.

The Trustee of the Scheme requests that (a) any employee or former employee (whether full-time or part-time) of any of the Employers listed above (or their subsidiaries or any other employer that has historically been part of the Arconic group of companies in the UK), or if such a person is deceased (b) the spouse, civil partner or dependant of that person, who in either case is (or thinks they might be) entitled to benefits under the Scheme, and (c) any other person who believes they may have a claim against the Scheme, provides written particulars of any such entitlement or claim to the Trustee of the Scheme.

Claims should be sent in writing to the under-mentioned contact on or before 31 October 2020, after which the Trustee will proceed with the winding up of the Scheme having regard only to claims and interests of which they have notice; the Trustee will not be liable to any other person or persons for a claim of which they do not have notice by that date. Upon writing, you should include details of your current address and any benefits that you think you are entitled to. It would be appropriate to include a copy of any documentation that can support your claim.

Notification is not required from any person who has already received correspondence from the Trustee confirming that their benefits have been secured or transferred to an alternative pension arrangement.
