The Department for the Economy has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 (Coronavirus) (Schedule 8) (Early Termination of Certain Temporary Provisions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020" (S.R. 2020 No. 214), which comes into operation on 14th October 2020.

This Statutory Rule will provide for certain temporary modifications made by the Act to the Insolvency (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 ("the 1989 Order") and extended by the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 (Amendment of Certain Relevant Periods) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 to terminate before the current expiration date of 30 March 2021.
