THE PUBLIC HEALTH ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1967

The Department of Health has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No. 2) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021", (S.R. 2021 No. 3) which came into operation at midnight on 7 January 2021.

This Rule amends the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020. This Rule restricts gatherings to six persons from two households, with exemption. It also restricts gatherings in a private dwelling to one household, or one household and its linked household to a maximum of ten persons and restricts movement away from home without a reasonable excuse, with exemptions. This Rule introduces a power to direct persons to return home if they are in breach of, or intending to breach, a requirement. The remaining Regulations make minor or consequential amendments or make technical changes.
