The Secretary of State for Transport gives notice under section 14(1)(b), (2A) of the Transport and Works Act 1992 (“the Act”) that he has determined under section 13(1) of the Act to make with modifications The London Luton Airport Passenger Transit System Order 2021 (“the Order”).

The Order was applied for by London Luton Airport Limited (“the Applicant”) of London Luton Airport (LLAL) of Hart House Business Centre, Kimpton Road, Luton, LU2 0LA. the applicant to operate the passenger transit system (the “system”) that will provide a mode of transit for passengers between Luton Airport Parkway railway station and the Central Terminal at London Luton Airport. The Order, once made, can may be found at https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ or can be obtained from the Stationery Office https://www.tso.co.uk/.

The Secretary of State has, pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Act, given notice of his determination by way of a decision letter dated 14 June 2021, a copy which may be obtained by emailing transportinfrastructure@dft.gov.uk That letter gives the reasons for the determination and the considerations upon which it is based; information about the public participation process; and information regarding the right to challenge the validity of the determination and the procedures for doing so.
