Alternative Service of Application

Take notice that Roderick John Sutton and Chow Wai Shing Daniel of FTI Consulting (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Applicants”), being trustees of the property and estate of Wang Liangping pursuant to bankruptcy proceedings (the “Bankruptcy Proceedings”) commenced by order of the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Court of First Instance dated 26 May 2021 (Hong Kong High Court file No. HCB 8393/2020), have issued an application in the High Court of England and Wales (the “Application”) for recognition as foreign main proceedings of the Bankruptcy Proceedings, pursuant to the Cross-Border Insolvency Regulations 2006.

At a hearing in respect of the Application that took place on 14 July 2021, the High Court of England and Wales ordered that:

1. service of the Application take place by various alternative means, including this advertisement;

2. the Application be listed for a further hearing at 2 p.m. on 11 August 2021;

3. Wang Liangping shall (if so advised) file at court by 4 p.m. on 4 August 2021 evidence in response to the Application in the form of a witness statement (produced in accordance with paragraphs 17 to 23 of Practice Direction 32 to the Civil Procedure Rules 1998) to which copies of any documents on which Wang Liangping may wish to rely must be exhibited, and shall serve such evidence on the Applicants by 4 p.m. on 4 August 2021 to Applicant’s solicitors at their address below;

4. the Applicants shall (if so advised) file and serve any further evidence on which they wish to rely by 4 p.m. on 6 August 2021; and

5. each party shall be at liberty to apply to the High Court on an urgent basis for further directions or relief on not less than 2 business days’ written notice to the other parties.
