The Department of Health has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (2021 Consolidation) (Amendment No. 11) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021", (S.R. 2021 No. 322) which came into operation at 4.00 am on 06 December 2021.

This rule amends the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 by adding Nigeria to Schedule 1 (Red list countries); and amends Schedule 8 (Prohibition on arrival of aircraft and vessels) by adding Nigeria to prevent aircraft from those countries arriving in Northern Ireland except in limited circumstances.
