AMENDMENT TO THE FOX LANE QUIETER NEIGHBOURHOOD AREA INCLUDING THE PROVISION OF PERMITS

CONWAY ROAD N14, DERWENT ROAD N13, FOX LANE N13, GROVELANDS ROAD N13, LAKESIDE ROAD N13, MEADWAY N14, OAKFIELD ROAD N14, OLD PARK ROAD N13, SELBORNE ROAD N14 AND THE MALL N14– MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITIONS AND PERMITS

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (the Council) propose to make The Enfield (Prescribed Routes) (No. *) Traffic Order 202* under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order referred to in paragraph 1 of this Notice would be to:

(a) remove the road closures in:

(i) Derwent Road N13, Grovelands Road N13, Lakeside Road N13, Old Park Road N13, Selborne Road N14 and The Mall N14 at their junctions with Fox Lane N13; and

(ii) Oakfield Road N14 at its junction with The Mall N14; and replace them with prohibitions on motor vehicles, to allow access for emergency service vehicles and council refuse vehicles;

(b) make provision for the issue of ‘FOX’ permits that would exempt vehicles from the no motor vehicles prohibitions described in paragraph 2(a) above as well as the existing no motor vehicles prohibitions in:

(i) Conway Road N14, at its junction with Fox Lane;

(ii) Fox Lane, between the common boundary of Nos. 7/8 and Nos. 9/10 The Walk, Fox Lane and a point 45 metres north-west of that common boundary; and

(iii) Meadway, at a point in line with the boundary between Nos. 53 and 55 Meadway; and

(c) exempt dial-a-ride vehicles from all the no motor vehicle prohibitions described in this Notice.

3. A copy of the proposed Order and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected at the Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, Monday to Fridays 9am – 5pm inclusive.

4. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order or make any other representations must do so by 6th April 2022. Any such objection or any representation must be in writing, quoting reference TG52/1498, and must state the grounds on which it is made. Objections or representations can be made in any of the following ways:
