THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (A601(M) PARTIAL REVOCATION) SCHEME 2022

The Lancashire County Council hereby give notice that they have made and submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation a scheme made under Section 16 of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers, the effect of which is to revoke "the Lancashire County Council (Carnforth Link) Special Road Scheme 1985" insofar as it relates to a route of approximately 2.1 kilometres starting at Junction 35 of the M6 Motorway proceeding in a generally northerly direction up to and including the Junction 35A roundabout at the A6 north of Carnforth.

The effect of this revocation would be that the special status road classification along the route described herein would be re-classified as an all-purpose 'A' road.

Copies of the Scheme and of the relevant plans and specifications may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours from 17th March 2022 to 06th May 2022 at the following locations:

(a) the offices of the Lancashire County Council, Pitt Street, Preston, PR1 0LD;

(b) the offices of Lancaster City Council, Town Hall, Dalton Square, Lancaster, LA1 1PJ;

(c) Carnforth Civic Hall, North Road, Carnforth LA5 9LJ; (d) Crag Bank Village Hall, Jesson Way, Carnforth LA5 9EG: (e) Carnforth Library of Lancaster Road, Carnforth, Lancashire, LA5 9DZ;

(d) Savick Library of Main Road, Bolton-le-Sands, Carnforth, LA5 8DN;

(e) Silverdale Library, Emesgate Lane, Carnforth, LA5 0RA.

A copy of the scheme and of the relevant plans and specifications has also been deposited at the offices of the Secretary of State for Transport.

ANY PERSON may object to the order. An objection to the scheme must be made in writing to Secretary of State for Transport, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne NE4 7AR not later than 06th May 2022 and should state the title of the Scheme, the grounds of their objection and the objector's address.
