The creditors of the Bankrupt may, in accordance with the rules, establish a creditors’ committee to exercise the functions conferred on it by or under the Act. Under Section 314(7) of the Insolvency Act 1986 a creditor may request that the Joint Trustees seek a decision on whether to establish such a committee if the request is made with the concurrence of at least 10%, in value, of the Bankrupt’s creditors (including the creditor making the request).
