THE FISHGUARD TO BANGOR TRUNK ROAD (A487) (CHIMNEYS LINK TRUNKING AND DE-TRUNKING, PEMBROKESHIRE) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Welsh Ministers have made the following Order:-

An Order under sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980 providing that:-

a) route approximately 231 metres in length commencing at the centre point of the junction between the A40 High Street, Fishguard in a north eastern direction on the A487 length of highway known as Ffordd Yr Efail to the centre point of its junction with the A487 West Street, Fishguard in the County of Pembrokeshire shall become a trunk road on the date on which the Order comes into force

and that:-

b) A length of approximately 1066 metres of highway, commencing at a point 8m northwest of the centre point of the junction between A487 West Street and A487 Ffordd-yr-Efail to the centre point of A487 Windyhall Roundabout eastern arm, Fishguard in the County of Pembrokeshire shall cease to be a trunk road as from the date on which notice is given by the Welsh Ministers to Pembrokeshire County Council (who will become the highway authority for that length).

COPIES of the Order and accompanying plans may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours from 22 July 2022 to 2 September 2022, at the following venue:

• Fishguard & Goodwick Town Council, Town Hall, Market Square Fishguard, SA65 9HE.

If any person aggrieved by the Line Order desires to question the validity of them, or of any of the provisions contained in them, on the ground that:

a. it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980; or

b. that any requirement of the Act or of regulations made under it has not been complied with,

that person may, within 6 weeks of them becoming operative make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
