NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY FOR THE KENLEY AREA
LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON COUNCIL ADDITION OF RESTRICTED BYWAYS (HAWKHIRST ROAD AND LONGWOOD ROAD) AT KENLEY DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2022
The above Order made 28 July 2022, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive may and statement for the area by adding
1) Restricted Byway commencing opposite number 34 Valley Road Kenley at Grid Reference TQ 3295 5965 (Point A on Plan 1) and running in a south-westerly direction for approximately 48 metres to its junction with Wildwood Court at Grid Reference TQ 3291 5961 (Point B on Plan 1) then continuing south-easterly for approximately 279 metres to its junction with restricted Byway 962 (Longwood Road) at Grid Reference TQ 3301 5935 (Point C on Plan 1). The Restricted Byway then continues in a south-easterly direction for approximately 474 metres, through Hawkhirst Woods to its junction with Public Footpath 31 at Grid Reference TQ 3319 5990 (Point D on Plan 1) then continues through Hawkhirst Woods in a south easterly direction for approximately 352 metres to its junction with Public Bridleway 36 at Grid Reference TQ 3325 5856 (Point E on Plan 1) as shown on the Order Map (Plan 1).
2) Restricted Byway commencing at its junction with Restricted Byway 961 (Hawkhirst Road) at Grid Reference TQ 3301 5935 (Point C on Plan 1) and running in a westerly direction for approximately 212 metres to Grid Reference TQ 3265 5941 (Point F on Plan 1) and then running north westerly for approximately 170 metres to its junction with the public carriageway outside Longwood Cottage at Grid Reference TQ 3264 5941 (Point G on Plan 1) as shown on the Order Map (Plan 1).

Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to Anthony Graham Highway Records Officer Sustainable Communities Regeneration & Economic Recovery Directorate, Bernard Weatherill House, Floor 6 Zone C, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA (quoting Reference Hawkhirst Road) not later than 8 September 2022 stating the grounds on which they are made.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Croydon Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
