NOTICE OF THE GRANT OF DROUGHT PERMITS FOR THE NORTH WEST YORKSHIRE AREA CATCHMENTS
Following an application by Yorkshire Water Services Limited to the Environment Agency for twelve drought permits in the north west Yorkshire area under section 79A of the Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended), on 24 October 2022 the drought permits were granted by the Environment Agency and will apply until 31 March 2023. The drought permits authorise the reduction of compensation releases from the following reservoirs in the Wharfe, Aire, and Worth river valleys.
