NOTICE is given that The Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough as Highway Authority intends to apply to Teesside Magistrates Court sitting at the Law Courts, Centre Square, Middlesbrough on 23rd March 2023 at 10am for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping up of an area of the highway as described in the Schedule hereto on the grounds that they are unnecessary.

A copy of the draft Order and Plan may be inspected at www.middlesbrough.gov.uk and at Central Library, Centre Square, Middlesbrough, TS1 2AY.

Any person to whom this Notice has been given or who uses the highway specified or who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order may appear before the Magistrates’ Court to raise an objection or make a representation on the application. Any person intending to appear before the Magistrates' Court at the hearing of the application is requested to inform Middlesbrough Council Legal Services at the address below before the 23rd March 2023 quoting reference SCM15899.
