NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council being the Highway Authority for the area in which the land is situated in the County of Northamptonshire, intends to apply to Wellingborough Magistrates Court sitting at The Court House, Midland Road, Wellingborough, NN8 1HF on 28th March 2023 at 3:00PM for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping up of part of an area of public highway located adjacent to number 2 The Downs, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, NN9 5YP and numbers 2, 4 and 6 The Pastures, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, NN9 5YR on the ground that it is unnecessary for public use.

The effect of the Order sought will be to prevent all traffic (both vehicular and pedestrian) using the highway described in the Schedule below and as shown for identification purposes only hatched red on the 1:625 scale plan which can be inspected at the offices of Pathfinder Legal Services Ltd, One Angel Square, Angel Street, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 1ED between the hours of 10.00am - 12.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.00pm on Monday to Friday inclusive (excluding bank holidays and public holidays). On hearing the application, any person to whom this Notice has been given, any person who uses the highway, or any other person who may be aggrieved by the making of this Order, has a right to be heard. Any person who is intending to appear at the Magistrates’ Court at the hearing of the application is requested to inform Steve Fowler by email to: landsearches.ncc@northnorthants.gov.uk or by letter to Pathfinder Legal Services Ltd, One Angel Square, Angel Street, Northampton, NN1 1ED before the 28th of March 2023.
