SECTION 116 OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY TO STOP UP PART OF THE HIGHWAY AT MILLBROOK WAY, POYLE SL3 0HG
NOTICE is given that Slough Borough Council as Highway Authority for the highway known as Millbrook Way, Poyle SL3 0HG in the County of Berkshire intends to make an application to the Reading Magistrates Court sitting at Civic Centre, Castle St, Reading RG1 7TQ on 28 April 2023 at 10 a.m. at Court 1, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping of an area of the highway at Millbrook Way, Poyle SL3 0HG as shown shaded pink on the attached plan (“Plan”) on the ground that the highway is unnecessary. The effect of the Order will be to extinguish all public rights of way over the said land.
A copy of the draft Order and Plan may be inspected free of charge between the hours of 09:30 - 16:30 Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays and public holidays) from 27 March 2023 to 28 April 2023 at the Council Offices at:
• Main Reception, Observatory House, 25 Windsor Road Slough SL1 2EL; and
• Slough Library (The Curve), High Street, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 1EA.
Any person to whom this Notice has been given or who uses the highway specified or who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order may appear before the Magistrates’ Court to raise an objection or make a representation on the application.
Any person intending to appear before the Magistrates' Court at the hearing of the application is requested to inform Shinal Badiani (Lawyer Planning & Regeneration) via email at Shinal.Badiani@harrow.gov.uk or write to Shinal Badiani HB Public Law, Harrow Council,, Harrow Council Hub, Forward Drive, Harrow, HA3 8NT by no later than 24 March 2023 quoting reference SLGH-RTR001-08221.
