NOTICE OF APPLICATION

STOPPING UP OF AN AREA OF HIGHWAY ON PARTS OF BOWLING GREEN CLOSE AND MARQUESS DRIVE, BLETCHLEY, MILTON KEYNES, STOPPING UP ORDER 2023

TAKE NOTICE that Milton Keynes City Council intends to apply to the Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court sitting at Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court, 301 Silbury Boulevard, Witan Gate East, Milton Keynes, MK9 2AJ on Friday 30 June 2023 at 14.00pm for an Order under section 116 Highways Act 1980 authorising the Council to stop up an area of the highway comprising of parts of Bowling Green Close and Marquess Drive, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, which for the purposes of identification is shown shaded blue with a red outline boundary on the plan to which the Order relates and described in the Schedule below, on the grounds that the area of highway is unnecessary for highway purposes.

At the hearing of the application for the Order, any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order applied for, will have the right to be heard.

A copy of this Notice and accompanying plan showing the area of the highway to be stopped-up have been placed and may be seen both online at https://www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/consultations and on public display within a window marked Public Notices, located to the far left of the frontage of Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ. Any person intending to appear before the Magistrates Court at the hearing of the Application is requested to inform Legal Officer, Mr Jaspreet Lyall, Legal Services, at the aforementioned address quoting reference PE-WL-027317-SUO

AREA OF HIGHWAY TO BE STOPPED UP

PARTS OF HIGHWAY AT BOWLING GREEN CLOSE AND MARQUESS DRIVE, BLETCHLEY, MILTON KEYNES – that part of the highway at Bowling Green Close and Marquess Drive from a point adjacent to number 7 Marquess Drive in a northerly then easterly then northerly direction for approximately 148 metres to a point adjacent to number 48 Bowling Green Close with a width of between 1.5 - 2.5 metres throughout, a total area of approximately 311.18 square metres.
