REMOVAL OF RESTRICTIONS ON WATER USE IN CORNWALL, UPPER TAMAR AND ROADFORD REGIONS

WATER INDUSTRY ACT 1991 SECTIONS 76 AND 76A-76C

Since 23 August 2022, temporary restrictions on the use of water have been in place in the Colliford and Upper Tamar Lakes supply areas, covering all of Cornwall and a small part of Devon, as shown on the map below.

Temporary restrictions on the use of water have also been in place in the Roadford supply area, shown on the map below, since 25 April 2023.

We are pleased to announce that, from 7am on 25 September 2023, these restrictions will be lifted.

South West Water gives notice of the revocation of these restrictions under section 76(7) of the Water Industry Act 1991 with effect from 7am on 25 September 2023, in accordance with section 76B(5).

We are grateful to all our customers for their cooperation during the water shortage. We ask customers to continue to show restraint and to use water responsibly to help secure future supplies.
