THE CROYDON (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF STOPPING, LOADING AND WAITING) AND (FREE PARKING PLACES) (NO.23) ORDER 2023

THE CROYDON (ON-STREET CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (NO. 23) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 02 October 2023 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:

a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 19 Addiscombe Avenue, Croydon, No. 27 Braemar Avenue, Thornton Heath, No. 490 Brighton Road, South Croydon, No. 6 Broughton Road, Thornton Heath, No. 20 Dalmally Road, Croydon, No. 546 Davidson Road, Croydon, No. 9 Fairlands Avenue, Thornton Heath, No. 104 Gonville Road, Thornton Heath, No. 7 Little Roke Avenue, Purley, No. 19 Medway Close, Croydon, No. 4 Preston Road, Upper Norwood, Nos. 9 and 40 Tanfield Road, Croydon, and No. 83 The Glade, Old Coulsdon.

b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

Alton Road, Croydon Outside No. 40 and partially across the frontage of No. 42.
Beech Road, Norbury Outside No. 9 and partially across the frontage of No. 7.
Beulah Grove, Croydon Outside No. 65 and partially across the frontage of No. 63 (replaces one permit/payment parking bay).
Capri Road, Croydon Outside No. 35 and partially across the frontage of No. 37.
Dalmally Road, Croydon Outside No. 126 and partially across the frontage of No. 124.
Ena Road, Norbury Outside No. 15.
Godson Road, Croydon Outside No. 29.
Gurney Crescent, Croydon Outside No. 32a. (partial footway bay – two wheels up)
Kynaston Avenue, Thornton Heath Outside No. 132 and partially across the frontage of No. 134 (replaces one permit/payment parking bay).
Norbury Road, Thornton Heath Outside No. 40 and partially across the frontage of No. 38.
Northborough Road, Norbury Outside No. 115 and partially across the frontage of No. 117
Portland Road, South Norwood Outside No. 244
Totton Road, Thornton Heath Outside No. 61 and partially across the frontage of Nos. 37, 47 & 57.
Tylecroft Road, Norbury Outside No. 86
Wentworth Road, Croydon Partially outside Nos. 54 and 56 (replaces one permit/payment parking bay).

c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

2. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 09 October 2023 and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further informationcan be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
