At 2pm on 28th November 2023 Dorset Council as Highway Authority for the County of Dorset intends to apply to the Dorset Magistrates’ Court sitting at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court the Law Courts, Westwey Road, Weymouth Dorset DT4 8BS for an application under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of this Order, if made, will be to stop up public highway rights over a section of highway making up part of Ackerman Road, Dorchester, DT1 1NZ. A plan illustrating the extent of the Order applied for may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester DT1 1XJ during its normal opening hours.

Anyone aggrieved by this application may oppose it by attending in person at the Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on 28th November 2023 at 2pm and they will have the right to be heard.
