1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Hackney proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to introduce a change to the articles paragraph 7 (d) of the Hackney (Parking Places) (Map Based) (Consolidation No. 2) Order 2018.

remove - a vehicle which is waiting in any pay and display or shared use parking place which is not suspended and with blue badge holder availability and displaying a valid blue badge and where required a parking disc

and replace with - a vehicle which is waiting in any pay and display, shared use, or permit parking place (excluding business, resident, estate or other dedicated permit bays) which is not suspended and with blue badge holder availability and displaying a valid blue badge and where required a parking disc.

The change effectively allows blue badge holders to park in general use permit bays for free when displaying their blue badge and disc (if required).

4. Any objections or other representations about either of the Orders should be sent in writing to Streetscene – Networks Team at the address specified in paragraph 3 above or emailed to consultation.parking@hackney.gov.uk within 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
