THE ELECTRICITY WORKS (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2017

Notice is hereby given that ESB Asset Development UK Limited has been granted consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 by the Scottish Ministers to construct and operate Chleansaid Wind Farm located on Dalnessie Estate, approximately 13km to the north-east of Lairg in the Scottish Highlands, near the A836–A838 junction, wholly within the planning authority area of The Highland Council. It will comprise of 16 wind turbines (12 wind turbines with a blade tip height not exceeding 200 metres and 4 wind turbines not exceeding 180 metres) and battery energy storage facility, with a generating capacity in excess of 50 megawatts.

The period of consent granted relating to construction and operation is 35 years.

The Scottish Ministers have also directed, under Section 57 (2) of the Town & Country Planning Act (Scotland) 1997, that planning permission is deemed to be granted.
