HIGH SPEED RAIL (LONDON – WEST MIDLANDS) ACT 2017

THE A452 CHESTER ROAD AND A446 STONEBRIDGE ROAD (HIGH SPEED TWO (PHASE ONE)) (TRUNKING) ORDER 2024

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT hereby gives notice that on 8th January 2024 he has made the above titled Order ‘The A452 Chester Road and A446 Stonebridge Road (High Speed Two (Phase One)) (Trunking) Order 2024’.

The Order is an Order under section 3 of, and paragraph 13 of Schedule 4 to, the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Act 2017 and which, as made provides that the A446 Link Road, A452 Chester Road Northbound and Southbound Slip Roads and A446 Stonebridge Road Northbound Slip Road shall become trunk roads and for which National Highways Company Limited, as a strategic highways company, will be directed under the Order to become the highway authority for those trunk roads from the date specified in the Order.

COPIES of the Order and its relevant plan may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours from 0900 until 1700 at the offices of National Highways Limited (“National Highways”), The Cube, 199 Wharfside Street, Birmingham, B1 1RN; Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Council House, Manor Square, Solihull, B91 3QB; Warwickshire County Council, Shire Hall, Market Place Warwick, CV34 4RL and High Speed Two (HS2) Limited (HS2 Ltd”), Two Snowhill, Snow Hill Queensway, Birmingham, B4 6GA.

COPIES of the instrument of making of the Order, which is entitled ‘The A452 Chester Road and A446 Stonebridge Road (High Speed Two (Phase One)) (Trunking) Order 2024’ can be purchased either through booksellers or direct from Government bookshops (The Stationery Office), (https://tsoshop.co.uk).

ANY PERSON aggrieved by or desiring to question the validity of any provision within the Order, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement or regulation made has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks of 25 January 2024, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision included.
