HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 90
INTRODUCTION OF A SPEED TABLE
1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington in consultation with the Metropolitan Police and the Department for Transport, and using the powers granted by Section 90 of the Highways Act 1980 propose the following:
(a) Remove the existing speed cushions on St John’s Way outside No. 133 (between bus stops D and H);
(b) Introduce a new speed table in the location described in 1(a) that will have a maximum height of 75mm. The total length of the speed table will be 8.9 metres.
2) Other documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed works are available for inspection. Copies of these documents may be obtained either by emailing environment@islington.gov.uk, by telephoning Environment on 020 7527 2000 or by sending a postal request to Environment, 1 Cottage Road, London N7 8TP. You can arrange an inspection in person by emailing environment@islington.gov.uk or calling 020 7527 2000.
3) Any person who wishes to object, or to make other representations about the proposal should send a statement in writing, specifying the grounds on which they are made to Islington Environment, P O Box 2025, PERSHORE, WR10 9BU (quoting reference 7798), within the period of twenty-one days from the date on which this Notice is published.
