HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (A614/A6097 JUNCTIONS IMPROVEMENT SCHEME) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2022 The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that on 22 January 2024 he has confirmed, with modifications, the above Order which was made by Nottinghamshire County Council under sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 and which, as confirmed, authorises the Council to –

(a) improve highways (including raising, lowering or otherwise altering);

(b) stop up highways;

(c) construct new highways;

(d) stop up private means of access to premises; and

(e) provide new means of access to premises

all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road to be improved, known as the A614/A6097 corridor, at the following junctions - Ollerton Roundabout, White Post Roundabout, Warren Hill Junction, Lowdham Roundabout and Kirk Hill Junction, within the Newark and Sherwood District and the Borough of Rushcliffe in the County of Nottinghamshire.

Copies of the above-mentioned Order and associated plans may be inspected at the offices of Nottinghamshire County Council, County Hall, Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 7QP and at Ollerton and Boughton Town Hall, Sherwood Drive, Ollerton, Newark, NG22 9PP, Ollerton and Boughton Town Hall is open from 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday; appointments to view the documents outside of these times can be made by telephoning 01623 860811 or email office@Ollerton-tc.gov.uk.

Any person aggrieved by or desiring to question the validity of any provision within the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement or regulation made has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks of 8 February 2024, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision included.
