The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Climate Change (Reporting Bodies) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024" (S.R. 2024 No. 93), which comes into operation on 3rd May 2024.

This Rule implements section 42 of the Climate Change Act (Northern Ireland) 2022, by placing climate change reporting duties on specified public bodies.
