ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 23 PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS
and
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 90A RAISED FEATURES
Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Bexley proposes to install a new zebra crossing to Bedonwell Road, Bexleyheath approximately 10 metres south of the junction with Belmont Road. The crossing will include an extension of 3 metres to the existing raised crossing at the location to enhance road safety.
NOTE: these proposals include changes to yellow lines that are advertised on a sperate notice

The purpose of the crossing point and extension to the existing raised feature would be to assist accessibility to and from Belmont Primary School and the surrounding roads.
A plan showing the location of the proposed crossing and extension to the raised feature can be viewed during normal office hours, Monday to Friday inclusive at the Contact Centre, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT.
Any person wishing to object to these proposals should send a statement in writing of their objections and the grounds thereof to the London Borough of Bexley, Engineering Services, Traffic & Road Safety Services, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT or by email to traffic@bexley.gov.uk (including a full postal address) within 21 days of the date of this notice.
Persons objecting to the proposals should be aware that this Council would be legally obliged to make any comment received in response to this Notice, open to public inspection.
