THE HACKNEY (PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Hackney proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to implement the following provisions at the locations listed:

• Electric vehicle recharging only’ bays

• Car Club permit holders only’ bays

• Fast electric vehicle chargers bays

Road Name Location
Ardleigh Road outside 26 8.6m south from the junction with Buckingham Road, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance 15.2m south replacing permit bays.
Britannia Walk junction with Nile Street 10.5m south from the junction with Nile Street, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance of 14.2m south replacing permit bays.
Churchill Walk outside 77 0.8m north from the extended boundary line of number 61-63 Churchill Walk, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance of 29.4m north replacing shared use bays.
Coster Avenue opposite 1-19 Honeysuckle Apartments 15m south from the junction with Woodberry Down, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance 30m south replacing shared use bays.
Dunston Street opposite 2 27.4m east from the junction with Kingsland Road, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance of 13.7m east replacing chargeable bays.
Elderfield Road opposite Chatsworth Estate 9.1m west from the extended boundary line of number 141-143 Elderfield Road, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance of 28.5m west, replacing residents permit bays.
Hoxton Street outside 235 6.2m north from the extended boundary line of number 231A-233 Hoxton Street, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance of 14.2m north replacing a shared use bays.
Marlborough Avenue outside Regents Court 10.3m south from the junction with Pownall Road, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance of 14.7m south, replacing permit bays.
Pearson Street outside 1 10.1m east from the junction with Kingsland Road, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance of 29.0m east, replacing chargeable bays.
Portland Rise outside Nottingham House 9.5m east from the junction with Portland Rise estate entrance, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance of 14.7m east, replacing permit bays.
Shrubland Road flank wall of 198 Queensbridge Road 12.1m east from the junction with Queensbridge Road, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance of 14.2m east, replacing permit bays.
Trowbridge Road outside 7-17 7.1m east from the junction with Merriam Avenue, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance of 14.2m east, replacing permit bays.
Wenlock Street outside Evelyn Court 1-10 (A) 8.2m west from the junction with Evelyn Walk, install new electric vehicle charging bays, for a distance of 14.2m west, replacing permit bays.

3. Plans of the proposed locations can be viewed here - https://hackney.traffweb.app/traffweb/2/PublicConsultation Documents giving more detailed particulars are also available for inspection by email request to streetscene.consultations@hackney.gov.uk. Alternatively, such documents can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays, in the visitor’s reception area, London Borough of Hackney, Hackney Service Centre, 1 Hillman Street, London, E8 1DY by appointment only.

4. Any objections or other representations about either of the Orders should be sent in writing to Streetscene – Networks Team at the address specified in paragraph 3 above or emailed to streetscene.consultations@hackney.gov.uk within 28 days from the date on which this Notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
