Notice is hereby given that TEVIOT WF LIMITED, a company incorporated under the Companies Act with company number SC653266 and having its registered office at Muirhall Farm Auchengray, Carnwath, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, ML11 8LL has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate a wind farm known as Teviot Wind Farm located off the A7, approximately 8km to the southwest of Hawick in the Scottish Borders (Central Grid Reference NGT 344366 602906). The application also requests that a direction be made by the Scottish Ministers under section 57 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997. The installed capacity of the proposed Teviot Wind Farm would be in excess of 50MW, comprising 62 turbines with a ground-to-blade tip height of up to 240 metres. Eight turbines would have tip heights of up to 180m, five turbines would have tip heights of up to 200m, 38 turbines would have tip heights of up to 220m and 11 turbines will have tip heights of up to 240m. The Proposed Development has an indicative output capacity of 409MW and included a solar array and two battery storage facilities along with associated ancillary development. The proposal is subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment.

TEVIOT WIND FARM LIMITED has now submitted additional information to Scottish Ministers, which includes updated information where necessary to reflect the removal of nine turbines, and the repositioning of a further two turbines, as well as removal of the solar array. The newly proposed Teviot Wind Farm has an indicative capacity of 350MW, comprising 53 turbines with a ground-to-blade tip height of up to 240 metres, plus 100MW of battery storage. Eight turbines will have tip heights of up to 180m, five turbines will have tip heights of up to 200m, 31 turbines will have tip heights of up to 220m and nine turbines will have tip heights of up to 240m.

Any representations to the application may be submitted by email to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit mailbox at representations@gov.scot; or by post to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation. Representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals), full return email and postal address of those making representations. Only representations sent by email to representations@gov.scot will receive acknowledgement.

All representations should be received not later than 21st July 2024, although Ministers may consider representations received after this date.

Any subsequent additional information which is submitted by the developer will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations to such information will be accepted as per this notice.

As a result of a statutory objection from the relevant planning authority, or where Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, Scottish Ministers can also cause a Public Local Inquiry (PLI) to be held.

Following examination of the environmental information and all views and representations received, Scottish Ministers will determine this application for consent in one of two ways:

· Consent the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or

· Reject the proposal

All previous representations received in relation to this development remain valid.
