THE BEXLEY (WAITING AND LOADING) (AMENDMENT NO. 27) TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

THE BEXLEY(20MPH SPEED LIMIT)(AMENDMENT 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley have on 24 June 2024 made the above mentioned Traffic Orders under sections 6, and 124 of and Part IV of schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985 and all other enabling powers.

1. The general effect of the Bexley (Waiting and Loading) (Amendment No. 27) Traffic Order 2024 would be to:

a) add no waiting at any time restrictions on sections of council maintained highway in Boundary Road, Thistle Close, Arthur Street and The Nursery within the Park East development

2. The general effect of the Bexley (20mph Speed Limit) Traffic Order 2024 would be to:

a) make necessary changes to amend the list of roads in the 20mph speed limit area to include Thistle Close.

Note: these proposals are made in conjunction with a raised feature for the Park East area, detailed on a separate notice.

3. Copies of the Orders which become operational on 1 July 2024, the corresponding Parent Orders (and any Orders that have amended those Orders), the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders, and a plan which indicates the length of road to which the Orders relate, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7A.

5. Persons desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the day on which the Order were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court
