Notice is hereby given that the Department of Justice made the above named Statutory Rule under section 90(2) of the Coronavirus Act 2020 on 21 March 2024. This Statutory Rule, the Coronavirus Act 2020 (Extension of Provisions Relating to Live Links for Court and Tribunals) Order (Northern Ireland) 2024 was approved on 14 May 2024 as required by section 96(2) and (7) of that Act by a resolution of the Northern Ireland Assembly. This Order extends, until 24 September 2024, the provisions in the Coronavirus Act 2020 (c. 7) (the “2020 Act”) which allows courts and statutory tribunals in Northern Ireland to receive evidence, wholly or in part, through the use of audio or video live links.
