THE HACKNEY (PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Hackney proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be:

a. Church Walk - replace 6.6 metres of residents permit bay outside No. 143 Church Walk with a personalised permit bay – 00280

b. Clarence Road - replace 5 metres of shared use parking with a cashless shared use Motorcycle bay outside Nos. 179 to 181 Clarence Road

c. Comberton Road - replace a section of permit bay with Shared use parking outside Nos. 4 to 6 Comberton Road

d. Handley Road - (a) relocate existing disabled southwards (b) replace 6.6 metres of permit bay outside Nos. 4 to 6 Handley Road with a personalised permit bay – 00276

e. Lower Clapton Road - Replace the personalised permit bay outside No. 166 Lower Clapton Road with a permit bay

f. Malvern Road - replace 6.6 metres of permit bay outside Nos. 60 to 62 Malvern Road with a personalised permit bay – 00277

g. Navarino Road - replace the personalised permit bay outside No. 48 Navarino Road with a residents permit bay

h. Shepherdess Walk - replace the personalised permit bay outside No. 85 Shepherdess Walk with a permit bay

i. St Philip’s Road - replace the personalised permit bay outside No. 29 St Philip’s Road with a residents permit bay

j. Stean Street - relocate the personalised permit bay northwards by 2.4 metres to allow more efficient use of the permit parking bays on the northern and southern end.

3. Plans of the proposed locations can be viewed here - https://hackney.traffweb.app/traffweb/2/PublicConsultation Documents giving more detailed particulars are also available for inspection by email request to streetscene.consultations@hackney.gov.uk. Alternatively, such documents can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays, in the visitor’s reception area, London Borough of Hackney, Hackney Service Centre, 1 Hillman Street, London, E8 1DY by appointment only.

4. Any objections or other representations about either of the Orders should be sent in writing to Streetscene – Networks Team at the address specified in paragraph 3 above or emailed to streetscene.consultations@hackney.gov.uk within 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
